Your photos of Salisbury pieces on the shape guide start at 1 and go up to 43.
I wonder if there is any record of Ambrico manufacturing pieces that were solely for Salisbury or whether they were simply supplied stock items?
There may be modellers logs for that era.

Re: Re: Two beautiful old un-numbered Salisbury Vases by Crown Lynn/Ambrico
I know there are two Salisbury shape 38 vases up at the moment on trademe..I also recall that the 38 shape we sketched from was a traditional Specials Dept trickle glaze type one. Taking into account the era and the difficulty to mass produce I would say undoubtedly the same shapes were glazed and decorated at different factories. Perhaps the Specials Dept ones were inscribed in the most part with a number and the Salisbury ones not...we all know that some vases have numbers and yet an identical shape may not. Modellers notes? The record keeping was not great...the only modellers notes I have seen are in the '60s...

Re: Two beautiful old un-numbered Salisbury Vases by Crown Lynn/Ambrico
The received considered opinion used to be that a number of fires have destroyed most early Clark/Ambrico/Crown Lynn records so if there were modellers logs, day books, shift and roster records etc kept in the early era then they haven't survived.
There are internet claims that all the records survived and by mysterious and incredible means have found their way into private collections but no credible evidence for this has been presented in the public domain.

Saw your last post by chance Tony and want to add that just last week I came across Log Books for various things at the Portage Museum from 1950 to 1961, including production sheets.
