Monier commemorative brick
This brick was made by the staff of the Monier brick factory to commerorate its closure. The factory closed in July 2015. It has strong ties with Crown Lynn - see this link. (this note is written in haste, I really should do more research but I want to get it on record). These bricks are available for sale from Te Toi Uku the Crown Lynn museum. We all should buy one (I think they are only $5). Finn told me that these bricks were the initiative of the staff - the management had no plans for a commemoration of any sort.
