The combined meeting of the Whangarei Pottery Collectors Group and Antiques and Collectables Club at Jim Brock's place on Saturday was a successful event with about 25 people attending.

Val pointed out to me that Jim already had a shape match for the mug I thought could be early CL. The glaze suggests Terra Ceramics.

This gives us a new mark for Terra: "Made in New Zealand".

I also photographed a jug, held here by Jim, with a "New Zealand" mark.

I very much doubt that the mug that started this post is Terra. At this stage I'm thinking maybe Hobby Ceramics, but it appears too heavy to me, it is unsigned (apart from the big X) and lacks obvious stilt marks.

As can be seen in the slideshow atm I have posted the marks in both the Terra Ceramics and Potters Marks galleries.
