I am wondering if Forest Ware bought their blanks from somewhere - or if they sold blanks to others?   Below we have two versions of the same lidded jar - one has the Forest Ware mark, the other has a very different decoration. And also, I have a bisque jug in the same shape as the Forest Ware version - with someone's name and the date 1984 scratched on the base.  This is much heavier and better made than the hobby blanks I have come across.

Apparently they sold some blanks to others and when they turn up 'unmarked ' they attract little or no interest to Forest Ware collectors.

Hey thanks for that Moksha. Do you have a contact with someone from Forest Ware? I am quite keen to do an interview if possible.

haselnuss owns most of the pieces of Forest Ware in the Forest Ware Gallery. The pieces are extremely well made slip cast ware and the handpainting is fantastic. Even the spray glazing is awesome. There have been a couple of clues as to the makers, but not enough to come to any conclusions.
