Remued mark their pottery with a number. Dsc05610
I feel I have seen work similar to this before and should know who it is
Remued mark their pottery with a number. Dsc05611
There is no mark on it anywhere, just the number 59 on the base. Any ideas?

It looks a little bit Australian to me. The glaze and numbering appear to be similar to those I've seen on the odd Remued piece, for example:

http://www.remued.com/early56.html

According to that Remued site your one is the wrong shape for a number 59.

The pale clay looks similar too though, so who knows. An Aussie pottery expert could maybe confirm it better for you.

Hi again. I did a little digging on that site again and I can say the vase is definitely Remued, from the later series:

Hope that helps Anne. Remued are very collectible in Australia I hear.

Thank you so much teaandcoffee, I know I've seen them before, but thinking it was NZ led me down the wrong path. I appreciate your efforts Very Happy
