Hope I am posting this in the right place.
A very large piece in reasonable order, can't find the shape or the pattern on the gallery.
The dark shade mark is a reflection couple of small grey dots are under glaze faults. Back Stamp is Kelston Potteries New Zealand
(3 lines in silver already on Gallery) measures 380 x 290 x 37 mm
Decoration might be Wild Rose Blossom in 'No Names Yet' F1 Page 1, 4 down ?.

Thanks Ev,
Yes that is definitely the same pattern. The size of the platter is really impressive.

This size of oval plate/platter has a couple of different profiles and I could not figure out which was which. This was the post I started
https://www.newzealandpottery.net/t5065-oval-plates?highlight=oval

although Jonno's platter is bigger 380 x 290 x 37 mm - I tend to measure in inch's as most of the old records are imperial. 14 inch long - that is huge!! I can't see anything that size in the records.

Thanks for your link to the start of an oval thread Jan
There is another reference that I posted quite some time ago at:-

https://www.newzealandpottery.net/t2301-posting-with-new-gibpat-design?highlight=GibPat+d644+Oval

The GibPat d644 is 290mm or 11 3/8" and I still have that.

Looking on the gallery I saw about 6 or so others mainly in the Ram Press gallery with 8011 and up numbers, so they made a lot of different sized ovals using different methods.

Also you might like to have a look at the National Film Unit at
http://www.nzonscreen.com/title/from-potters-wheel-to-mass-production-1949
and at about 2.40 minutes in see round plates being made and then ovals on an eccentric device. hence no impressed numbers.
