Milton Pottery? Yes or No
This is my first attempt at posting a topic and photo here, so please be patient with me. I have a small vase, approx. 8cm high, which appears to have some age to it and I am reminded of the pottery I saw at the Milton Museum. Therefore, my question is - is it an old piece of Milton Pottery? Sadly it has a 9mm chip in the base. The inside of the vase is unglazed and the china is a creamy colour. Your views will be welcomed.

Re: Milton Pottery? Yes or No
Hi there meoldchina and bravo for posting a photo.
I have contacted Manos and asked him for his thoughts about your pot as he knows a lot about those old South Island Potteries.

Re: Milton Pottery? Yes or No
Manos has replied to say that it is NZ or Australian pottery, but it's too hard to tell from a photo and he would need to see the pot to make a call.

Thank you Ev and Manos. I have a few other photos which may help Manos to identify the pottery, but unless he is in Nelson I don't think it will be possible for him to see it in person, unfortunately. Here are the photos.
