A nice but chipped Handwerk mug. Have we got this base "stamp"?

Re: Handwerk Mug
Jeremy, The handle has been glued on too.
I love the crisp colours on the mug and the Handwerk signature. First I thought the Handwerk was written with a black permanent marker because it is so black and has smudged a little. But it is definitely all original including the signature.

Re: Handwerk Mug
I would like to know the shape number for that mug too as we don't have it yet and it would be an early number as Carpay was only there for a few years. Thanks for sharing your booty haselnuss.
Re: Handwerk Mug
Ev, When I researched the signature on the Google machine I noticed that he signed the "man condiment decanter bottle with hat" also with the full Handwerk signature.
May be we can find out what year the bottle was made
Does the mug look like this one on Trade Me? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=771923319

Re: Handwerk Mug
Carpay was only at Crown Lynn from 1953 to 1956 which is a relatively short time frame. I can't tell if your mug is the same as the beaker mug. Does yours have a ridge down the handle like the one listed?
Re: Handwerk Mug
Ev, Yes it has the ridge down the middle of the handle.
My mug is 9.5cm tall and the clay, where the chips are, is white.
The inside of the mug is a lot whiter than the tulip cups as well.

Re: Handwerk Mug
Ev, I have wondered about this too for some time and haselnuss' measurement helps.
I have the same shape of mug as the one you linked to and it is 86mm H x 80 OD top.
I though the handle was different but am left wondering now.
I think the handwerk mug shape may be the same as in the 1949 film, seen twice, thus very old.
I think the handwerk mug is less conical than the other.
