Triple glazes..... even treacle glazes.... but TRICKLE makes my teeth curl!!
The Specials Department experimented with a wide variety of glazes.
They tried using a base glaze and then randomly putting on top of the base another two glazes.... bravo!
Now it came to pass in New Zealand that Crown Lynn collectors called this achievement TRICKLE glaze.....
I still shudder when I see this terminology and I see it every day!!!!!
Who came up with this name for the beautiful triple glaze system that the Special Dept used????
I want to know WHO?

Have just read your post on this Ev and totally agree
I promise that I will never ever ever use that other naughty word again.

We won't swing them all but we could make a dent.

I'm so happy to learn that Tom Clark called this technique 'Flowing Glazes'
BUT .... he also added that they used to call it Trickle Glaze
Check it out on Val Monk's Crown Lynn blog in the comments. http://valputaruru.blogspot.co.nz/2012/09/trickle-glaze-what-is-it.html

We call this double dip but if its two thick you could ended up with a run or runs maybe trickle sounds more arty

Double dip is using one solid glaze colour over another and this can return some dramatic results too, where the glazes have reacted with each other.
The 'flowing glaze' appears to come from one or two other colours that have been squirted over a base glaze in a sweeping motion. The results achieved were dramatic and extremely beautiful at it's best. I want to experiment with this technique one day when I have the time.
