I can now put this saucer into the Gallery as Viking Pat.No.458.

This shape according to Jeremy Ashford is Shape 4018 and would have a Shape 3022 cup, which are the Earthenware shape numbers for the Cook & Serve cans and saucers.  The same moulds were used for both.

This saucer has been stamped Kelston Potteries and I strongly feel that the cup that goes with this saucer will have Kelston Potteries on them also.

The only cups that I can find with Kelston Potteries on them are these darlings, but I can't see anything relating to vikings on them Very Happy

I may have just ruined my theory finding this post from Jeremy where he has matching saucers for these cans!

I'm still looking for other can options.  I know Jeremy's theory is that these Viking saucers went with the plain coloured cans, but I've never gone along with that idea and want to explore my theory further Smile
