Reflections by Crown Lynn New Zealand
This pattern was designed by Otway Josling and won the first Crown Lynn Design Awards in 1959.
In 1964 TEAL Airlines chose this pattern for their crockery.
The pattern was also used extensively by hotels and these had a mushroom background.
The dinnersets available to the public had a teal-green background.

Reflections in other colours?
Has anyone seen reflections in other colours?
One of the Cook & Serve saucers I have yet to post a pic of has the same fern leaf (but 12 leaflets per side instead of 18) motif in four positions around the edge, not crossed but in triplets, leaf-point out:
blue-black-blue
black-blue-black
blue-black-blue
black-blue-black
on a white base colour.
I would expect a tango blue cup to match this, but there may be a "blue reflections" cup out there somewhere.

Re: Reflections by Crown Lynn New Zealand
In a box somewhere I've got some Reflections, the cups are different to the ones pictured here, the cups I have are the same shape as the cups used for Mogambo/Image etc.
I've also seen Reflections in a light blue colour.

Re: Reflections by Crown Lynn New Zealand
Hopefully one day we can all see these pieces that you mention Jeremy and Duckie ...
Re: Reflections by Crown Lynn New Zealand
Haha, like most Crown Lynn nutters we all have stacks of 'stuff' in boxes unlikely to ever see the light of day!
As you may know I'm building a new home, where I'm going to be fortunate enough to have purpose built display space, but I can guarantee you the only 'stuff' going into that space is the Dorothy Thorpe and Ernie Shufflebotham.

reflections on a can
Ev,
That day will come, eventually. You may recall it took me a while to get it together with my first pictures. It seems like there's always something getting in my way.
Duckie,
At this point it appears you are the only person to come up with a Cook & Serve coffee can pattern I don't have, well almost. I look forward one day to seeing a reflections can. III WWWAAANNNTTT!!!
Do you recall if it was Reflections as seen here or reflections-type fern fronds in blue and black on white like the saucers I have yet to produce pictures of?

Re: Reflections by Crown Lynn New Zealand
The Reflections cups I have are definitely in the Cook & Serve shape, one day when I am scrounging through my stuff I will try and get a picture if I remember.
The blue reflections I've seen, but paid little attention to at the time, had a tulip shaped cup. Black transfer on blue background.

CUP & SAUCER LINKS
Ducks Nuts,
see: http://newzealandpottery.forumotion.net/t4223-some-unusual-reflections-pieces-from-unouwanit#14637
I wonder if this matches the reflections set you described.
Above, I said "III WWWAAANNNTTT!!!" to a "Cook & Serve" Reflections: this may have to do!

My latest Reflections is a demitasse.
The cup has impressed what appears to be "277". The base stamp belongs to the saucer.
From recent information about dating I believe it is an early one, 1959-1961.

Thanks, Ducks Nuts. You were quick!
