I first encountered Stacy Morrison at the Artisans' Market on Whangarei's Canopy Bridge but she now has a display at The Bach in the Town Basin.

When we spoke some months back Stacy said that she does some fabrication but mostly makes slipware. I feel a bit uncomfortable putting this in with commercial pottery but as Stacy is not throwing pots I was also uneasy with the idea of putting her in with studio potters.

Here is the display showing a wide range of mug shapes, among other things.

This mug looked so like a Keriblue shape that I had to take a photo to compare. Stacy's shape has a slightly different handle from Caryl's design and is also slightly narrower, more cylindrical, in the base.

Stacy decorates some of her work with designs in the style of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, including some "Hundertwasser YES" mugs, and, as you can read on the tag above, makes a contribution from each sale to the Hundertwasser Arts Centre.

Great info Jeremy thanks.
I have added this mark under Morrison, Stacy and also Northland Pottery to make it easy to find her in the Gallery.

Also I consider potters to be Studio Potters if they work on their own, creating their own ideas and making them from go to whoa and don't have a factory situation with many others working for them.
Actually we could start a discussion about this as others have different ideas.
