Partridge pottery from the Auckland Museum
The Auckland Museum have 12 Partridge pots in their collection and I have never come across these before and I've googled my heart out, but here they are !!!!!!

Please note:
The Partridge Shell vase which was supplied by Glen Afton has number 80 on it so this tells me that there must be two sizes ..... !
Photo 1 says slip cast and yet I see tell tale throwing rings and the handwritten 8 on the base just like the 101 that Val dropped off for interrogation. Also it is the same shape as the Flambeau pot that Val posted some time ago ...
The vases have been beautifully painted and there are Flambeau stickers and styles too. Crikey this is exciting !!!
Vases 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 9 have red painted bases.
The Shell vase (photo 4) has bare clay on the base with a Partridge sticker.
5 has a green base
8 has paint blobs on the base
10 has some blue paint
11 has some brown paint
12 has a bit of blue overbrushed paint on the edges of the base
I will add more findings....

Re: Partridge pottery from the Auckland Museum
Kat, the Auckland Museum refer to Flambeau as Partridge Pottery
http://www.aucklandmuseum.com/collections-research/collections/record/am_humanhistory-object-17476?k=partridge%20pottery&ordinal=7
I don't think that the link will work however!
So Partridge/ Harwyn/ Flambeau are all related.
They appear to have painted the bases more often than not.
