Crown Lynn 1036 shape twenty-5 teapot, 1035 lid
1036 shape twenty-5 teapot, 1035 lid
My latest trademe buy has made it safely. There is some crazing internally at the base but otherwise fine.
It looks no prettier in all-over brown than it does in the Portage blue and white!
This is bigger than I remember the Portage one being and is indeed a large teapot. It holds 1.3 litres which equates to 5 1/2 cups, pretty much the same as the 1354 the largest of the three bobbles (Country Fair) teapots.
137mm H to rim, 174 to top, 100 ID, 140 OD at widest, 123 OD at footring,
marked impressed New Zealand and 1036; lid 50 H x 108 OD
opening and lid
a selection of my Crown Lynn teapots comparing sizes
from left and back: 1036, 1616, 1354, Ambrico

That is lovely Jeremy and the first that I think I've seen on Trade Me.
I will wait for a prettier one, as I knew you were hankering for one of these
I will add it to the Gallery as your photo is much better than the one I took through glass at the Museum.
