Thanks so much Jeremy as I was watching that auction and thought it was an 1150 even though there is a Massey U mug listed at around 1010.  I was pleased to see that you had won it Very Happy Perhaps there is a mug and a Beer Mug?

It occurred to me that the Crown Lynn castware 1150 is very like the Titian Presley Ware PM100 beer mug.

Unfortunately I don't have the Titian mug to make a side by side comparison and the available photo (photo above, taken from the topic above) does not have measurements accompanying it. Measurements for the CL are given at the start of the topic.

As I compare photos I see only one obvious difference, the top of the handle on the Titian is more pointy.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

My M-I-L was keeping her kitchen brush in the PM100 below (right).
She said I could have it.

1150 left and PM100 right. Subtle differences.

This listing from hon-john says his one is 11cms tall.

Yes I think this Titian mould was used by Crown Lynn and adapted.

Thanks Ev.

Interesting description in that listing: It sounds kind of like the Intercontinental Titian mug:

http://newzealandpottery.forumotion.net/t4322-green-titian-and-titian-intercontinental-mugs#15685

I don't have that anymore btw: I swapped it with Jim, to go in his "Monograms room". I already have the shape in the other green Titian mug. It's a pity I didn't spend another 50c and buy two.

Coincidentally, I considered buying a PM100 today, before I recognised the similarity, but I guess that's why it came to mind. Kat's is no longer listed, but I know where I can pick one up: I have more reason now, but then again maybe I have less!

I googled that myself last night but find those search links so cumbersome so I just copied it to the iPad. (I did manage to get a tidy link for the Molle though.)

I chose not to buy the PM100 this morning. I have not seen one of these without allover crazing. Yesterday it looked clean but as money was involved I had a closer look today. And the transfer didn't please me: Morris is the wrong make of car!

I looked at other PM100s last night and see my comments about the handle refer just to the one photo. And I took a good look at the CL before I went for my morning walk.
I think the Crown Lynn mug is pretty much the same shape, but a bit weightier.

Good grief Jeremy all you have to do is click onto the link, no matter how big it is. No copy and paste like in the old days!

What I meant is that I SAVED the PHOTO to the iPad.

This machine does things a bit differently from a computer and I still haven't got the hang of everything but I'm working on it. I have not yet learned how to post photos from the iPad.

When I copy a link for posting I like to make it as tidy as I can. You can edit a lot of rubbish out of trademe links so they fit on one line.

Those google search links are nasty. I could have posted one like that for the Molle article but instead sorted it out neat and tidy.

Even copying links on the forum, if you have got there from a search, you can cut out all the search rubbish.

That link for hon-john's photo on Google is bigger than the photo itself!
