Is this what Reflections looks like on a cup,
or does this pattern have a different name?

Awesome!! I will check when I get home, but I'm pretty sure it's called Reflections on Teal. Thank you. It should be vitrified.

I'm adding Adriana's Reflections on Teal pictures here for continuity,
and to make it easier to find the original post.

(It has occurred to me that if the backstamp shown is complete, then this colour of Reflections may not be vitrified like the mushroom-coloured version. I will have to check my Cook and Serve stamps.)

If this helps?
I read in the museum notes that the winning reflections pattern in 1959 was on blue, the saucers blue with a white centre so the article reads. It was won by Mr Josling from Wellington. ( as per Newspaper ad)
Teal Airlines used the blue reflections pattern at some point Vit or E/W it did not say. Then it was done on mushroom Vit. but not sure who for, off the "top of my head"
But you already know this?
I am hoping .... one day....   to be able to find some pieces on blue/teal   Razz

Janice, I would be very happy to have cups and saucers, but I do not know the full extent of the range.

I now have mushroom in:
coffee can and saucer (3618/?);
demitasse and saucer (773-3633/734-4634).

And I also have:
that strange blue/black/white Cook & Serve Reflections pattern (782/792).

I am hoping to get:
a Carlton cup mushroom set (755/?) soon; and dream of getting
a teal tulip duo (853-3636/?-? or 781/805).

That's five different shape and pattern combinations (without getting into 3 and 4 digit distinctions).

So ...

... are there any other shapes of Reflections cup and saucer duos that you are aware of?

I've written a bit more on Reflections here:

http://newzealandpottery.forumotion.net/t5232-reflections-cup-and-saucer-combinations#19552

Including changes in matched saucer over time (for the 755 and 3618 cups) I reckon on eight different combos incorporating five different cup shapes on five saucer shapes.

All I need are the tulip duos in both colours.

Reflections on Teal is EARTHENWARE
I have seen queries about this based on the backstamp.
The Reflections on Teal cup is earthenware, and matches other earthenware tulips in size. The vitrified tulip cup shape is smaller. I have it now so I have checked.

Today I was lucky enough to pick up a Reflections Pat.No.755 saucer, it was teamed up with a vitrified teal cup, but they are not a match as the saucer is unbelievably light and the cup was very heavy.  So this will be the Teal Reflections saucer.
It doesn't sit well in an 805 saucer, so will be another number.
Oddly it is lighter than the earthenware 805 and when I first touched it I thought it was plastic as it was so light.
Oh yes and the cup-well isn't white it's all a teal colour on the top and white underneath.

How odd.

My single Teal Reflections saucer is the same diameter as other 805s and, depending on which ones I choose, it sits snugly sandwiched between them.

Any chance of measurements and a stamp?

Thinks, R-on-T was a dinner set. Are there other things that could sit on it, gravy jug etc?

Oh, what was the cup? 755?

Soon after ...
One other thought.
If Teal actually did come out soon after the competition it might have been the earlier shape 781, higher, wider, thinner body, different handle attachment. The 805 saucers for those were also wider and lighter weight.

The backstamp needed a magnifying glass to see what was written on it, so I doubt if it will show up in a photo.
Measurements: 142mm across x 25mm high .....

I'm not sure if this is earthenware or light weight vitrified as it's lighter than any other Crown Lynn ware that I have ever touched. I will check out the Portage site when I get time and also check out what they have at the Museum shortly Twisted Evil

Mine is exactly same size. Same as my 805s.
Stamp is barely readable, certainly not very good to photo but nevertheless a match for Adriana's, above.

I would not say mine is necessarily particularly lightweight, but remember saucers, as did cups, got progressively heavier over their many years of production.
