four digit mug 1188 Luke Adams
I don't see this in the gallery.
First thoughts were that it was 1183, but that's not right.
Could be 1185 but I'm settling on 1188.
95mm H x 73 OD at base
The glaze, irridescent over brown with black bands,
would tend to indicate Luke Adams.
I bought this from a shop I've never entered before. Only signage is
"Garage Sale", couple doors along from Hikurangi's "Curios & Collectables."

Yes it's definitely that Luke Adams glaze and a shape I haven't seen before. I'll check it out with the records later when I get home. Well done Jeremy!
Yes to 1188
Ev, I found it.
"1188 - Flared top Grooved cylinder Mug"
I think that works, don't you?
You can use this the for gallery if you wish.

Yes, that's exactly what the records say!! Plus those rings keep turning up and showing off that glaze to it's best where it breaks to black when it's thick!!!! That handle shape is rather unique isn't it !!! Is that a 'hickey' on the front lip??
Thank you I will add it to the Gallery

Imperfections
Of course it is the same as the records. Some time past you went to the bother of transcribing it for us.
As I'm on the iPad I don't know how to copy links so I just quoted.
Even down to repeating the capitalisations.
The condition is not perfect but never mind.
Blip on the lip at 3 o'clock to the handle,
flat chip at 6 o'clock and an irregularity on the base.
But it exists!
