Photo and words courtesy of Jonno.

Here is the first of my collection that differs from your listings and photos.

Galaxy Pat.No.112 Kelston Ceramics Galaxy10

The backstamp on the above states:-

GALAXY
pat. no 122
KELSTON
POTTERIES
NEW ZEALAND

In variance with your pic on page 4 which says d749 for a completely different design in a brown tone.

So dear old CL used the same name for two completely different designs. I suspect that the use of different pottery names could have caused this sort of duplication, I have seen other examples.

Many thanks Jonno - I will add your photo to the Gallery Smile
My personal Crown Lynn Database shows 4 listings for Galaxy:
d162
d749
pat.no.112 - 36 piece exclusive
J10
I saw a Galaxy pattern the other day, but as it didn't have a pattern number I didn't want to pay $10 for the vitrified entree plate. It had goldy half scrolls around the edge .... I will know it if I see it again.
My thoughts are that if they used different brand names they could reuse the pattern names.....?

Very interesting Ev or did they think that because it is Galaxy they could have as many variations as there are constellations in the Galaxy? Laughing
