I am after more information AND PIECES of this pattern and Colours. (see picture on my profile) I have some yellow, blue, brown, maroon?red checked plates mainly but a couple of cups and 1 yellow jug, . I received a few pieces that my grandmother had in her beach house....brought late 1930's into 1940's????. Any info most welcome. The mark is a crown over a curved Crown Lynn with New Zealand under that. All the books I have seen have not displayed it nor I have seen it in the galleries......

Crown Lynn Kiwis - 156 and 165

We have a record of a kiwi in our animals department with the number 156 clearly marked on the base..there is one on trademe at the moment and the owner states it is clearly marked 165. I have two kiwis and they are both un-numbered BUT on looking at them though they appear the same, they are different in size.. what do you think?? The smaller brown trickleglaze is the one in our notes at 4 and a half inches long..

In the process of upgrading their servers, which didn't make any improvements only problems, Forumotion decided to go back to the old servers. In doing this every forum using Forumotion has lost their avatars, added emoticons and gallery photos.

Avatars - all you have to do is remove the non-showing one and add a new photo.

Smilies - I've added some and will add the rest when I can.

Galleries - These will be reloaded - but it will take time.

Thank you for your patience,

Cheers ...

Aquila is a more modern name for Titian so I have posted here, but we could reclassify if need be. This piece is absolutely stunning in detail and I hope my photos do it justice.

Again from the wonderful collection of Manos.

On page 149 of Gail Henrys "New Zealand Pottery" she writes of this rare piece. She describes this as a truly indigenous piece which was designed and modelled by Cam Brown in 1956. It was made to commemorate the victory by Waikato over the Springboks and has a sock decorated on one side with Waikato colours and on the other with the Springbok colours. Don Clarke was instrumental in winning the match and his boot size "9" is impressed on the sole. It reads "Waikato ...

Tell me what you think...

The Premier Award went to Duncan Shearer, for an earthy, saltglazed, cracked bowl ...
