Crown Lynn Swans - background

Post  HeatherT on Sun 12 Apr - 7:20

David Jenkin was the head of the Crown Lynn design department and he copied the design for the swans from overseas. From the late 1940s, swans were produced in various sizes and finishes. Black swans are believed to be very rare and it is possible that only a limited number were ever made.

The early trickle glaze swans have fraction marks and came in lots of very interesting colours.
